As I was laying out my notes and preparing to speak this past Saturday night, The Spirit took me in another direction. I was led to 1 Samuel 30, where we read of the story of David and how he and his men returned home from battle, only to find that their own place had been raided by their mortal enemies, the Amalekites. The Amalekites had burnt, plundered and made off with not just the possessions of David and his men, BUT, they had taken their families as well.

Now mind you, this DID NOT have anything to do with, at least I thought, the subject that I had been preparing all week to bring, which is part of the teaching I am doing on the Old Testament Tabernacle, and how Jesus is revealed in it every step of the way. I was going to teach this week about the “Outer Court”. I just didn’t “get it” at first.

So I am seeking The Lord on this matter, during worship and as we enter into a time of prayer and seeking the Face of God, His Will, BAM [ to borrow a cliche' HAHA], this thing hit me like a ton of rocks.

We will never be able to move into the Holy of Holies, Spiritually, as long as we are still dealing with the flesh. Personally, each of us has to get to a place where we no longer have a “Thorn in The Flesh”.Those things that SHOULD HAVE been dealt with in the past. Where we are walking in the Victory that has been won and freely given to us in Christ Yahushua, Jesus. Flesh, or “the world” or sin, is dealt with in the “Outer Court”. We must take care of these “issues” from our past, so we don’t have to, in our future. This is on the personal level.

So what exactly is a “Thorn in the Flesh”? Is it a physical thing, as some suggest with the Apostle Paul. It could very well be. BUT, I believe upon closer examination of the Scriptures, one will find that it is a “person,place or thing” that keeps coming back to remind you of your past. [ Num.33:55, Joshua 23:13, Judges 2:3, Isaiah 32:13 ]

In the context of what God was revealing to me Saturday night, David was having to deal with an “Old Thorn in the Flesh”, one that had been plaguing Israel for a real long time. David was going to have to “clean up someone else’s mess”. David was going to have to fight the Amalekites. This is the same group of people that 15 chapters earlier, King Saul had been given the Word from The LORD, through His Prophet Samuel. God had told King Saul to utterly destroy ALL the Amalekites and ALL their belongs. They were to be wiped off the face of the earth. I mean GONE !!! That’s what God said for Saul to do in Chapter 15. BUT, in his infinite wisdom, Saul did what he “thought was right in his own eyes”, first by keeping the best of the cattle and secondly and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Saul spared the life of the king of the Amalekites, Agag.

For the Church, as a whole, I feel that God the Father was saying to us, “The reason we are having to deal with these “Amalekites”, these “Thorns in the Flesh” is because somebody DID NOT obey The LORD in the past. David had to deal with what Saul didn’t deal with. It actually continued on out past all that, because when you study out the whole story of what happened with King Agag during his short captivity with King Saul, Agag had an intimate relationship that sired a son who then started a new “people called the Agagites”. This is the same people that Haman in the Book of Esther came from. The same people that are still giving Israel trouble even today, Hamas, but that’s another thing for another day. 

In Ezekiel 3:16-21, we that are called, are given a stern warning from God the Father. We are told that when we have a Word from The Lord for the wicked, that if we don’t give it to them, then their blood will be on our hands. If we tell them what The Lord says, and they refuse to listen, then we have done what we are told and their blood will not be on our hands. We won’t be held accountable for their refusal to obey The Lord.

It is our calling to let people know what The Lord says. It then becomes their decision that sets things into motion. The Prophet Samuel told King Saul what God said for him to do. Saul refused to follow the word of The Lord. Saul was ultimately held responsible for his choice and lost his kingdom. BUT it was David who had to deal with the mess !

I don’t won’t to face God the Father and have Him ask me why I didn’t take care of the mess ! I don’t won’t my children and their children to have to take care of what I didn’t take care of !!

That is why we are having the “Tearing Down The Walls” meetings !

That is why we are having the meeting about the “Masonic Cult”, and how it is deceiving many people and it is like it has been stepped up to go after those who are in the Body. Those who are not in the Lord are the easiest to prey on, BUT a “TRUE BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD” should not be so easily persuaded to fall prey to this !

There are many “Amalekites” in the body today. Things that should have been dealt with long ago.

Will you take the stand today? Will you inquire of The Lord, as David did in 1Samuel 30:8 and see if it is a good thing to pursue and overtake your “Amalekite”, your “Thorn in the Flesh” ?

As many of you know, we are in a season of prayer and fasting. As part of that, to be obedient to what The Lord has given us in the Spirit, I will be fasting computer and TV for the next 7 days.

New Beginnings!

On July 20^th, Father God spoke to me in the Spirit. We are entering into a season of “New Beginnings”, and some things have already started, in both the natural and the Spiritual realms. The number 8 is symbolic of “new beginnings’ in the scripture and in Leviticus, when Aaron and his son’s had finished 7 days of consecration and sanctification of themselves unto the Lord for His ministers, Moses took Aaron to the Tabernacle and the Fire of God fell in the sight of the whole assembly. This happened on the 8^th  day!!!

We are going to have a special gathering on 8-8-08, to offer ourselves unto the Lord as His ministers and as His children. In preparation for this time, we want to enter into a corporate time of “prayer and fasting”. This is the instructions for this time, as I got them in my spirit from The Lord.

We are to do a “Daniel Fast” for the first six days of August. On the seventh day, we are to do a complete fast, except water.  **** {if you are unable to do this for health reasons, then you should seek The Lord in prayer for instructions for you personally on the fasting issue}

We are to focus our prayer time for specific things that The Lord spoke to me about!

August 1, we are to pray for our self, as far as letting Holy Spirit show us those deep things inside that we thought were no longer there. We need to “consecrate and sanctify” our spirit man, by letting Him cleanse us thoroughly. {Romans 12:1, 2}

August 2, we are to pray for our family, both those in the home and those away some where else. Pray for a cleansing for them as well, and a revelation of God, The Father, to those who don’t know Him.

August 3, we are to pray for His Family, The Body of Christ. Pray for a cleansing of those things in The Body that are not from Him. Pray for a revelation of God, as The Father and not some far away entity.

August 4, we are to pray for the return of Godly principles and standards into our schools in this land. Pray for the end of teaching “tolerance” to those things that are not from God, such as sex outside of marriage and homosexual lifestyles.

August 5, we are to pray for our local and state governments, that there would be a cleansing of those who operate outside of God’s will for His people. Pray that there would be a return of Godly standards to the political systems and Godly people would be lifted up into these offices. 1 Samuel 8:8

August 6, we are to pray for our nation and the nations of the world, that there would be a revelation of God, The Father, and that He would purge all of those, who lead this nation and the nations of the world, that don’t operate in Godly standards and principles.

August7, we are to pray a “Prayer of Thanksgiving and Praise”, all day worshipping Him with “thanks and praise”. This is not a day to petition The Lord for our needs, BUT rather to lift Him up and draw close to Him.

On August 8^th, we will have a “gathering” and offer up ourselves as a “Living Sacrifice”.

We will be in worship for some time that evening, so don’t come with concerns about going home. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! We are to stay in His presence until He is through with us!

We will take Communion that night and will do a “Salt Covenant” as well.

This is a very serious time for The Body and we are not to take this time lightly.

God is moving His people into a “New Beginning” and those that are ready for a new level of Him and have prepared themselves for that will not be disappointed.

Instructions for a “Daniel Fast”

During a “Daniel Fast” we are allowed to eat mostly vegetables. We also will eat nuts and fruit. We should abstain from as much sugar as possible. Drink plenty of water and you may drink unsweetened fresh fruit juice. A blended drink with certain fruits would make it naturally sweet. {AGAIN, if you have a problem with this because of health issues then PLEASE get with me and let’s seek The Lord on your behalf!}

NO MEATS OR SWEETS!  NO BREADS or DAIRY PRODUCTS! NO PASTA!

In the Christian blog community lately, there seems to be a “rash” of post deletions, when those who offer up differing opinions just drop by and try to get involved in the discussion.

At lbolm, I have tried to be sort of like the “O’Rielly” of these things lately, trying to offer up a balanced side of the things. THAT being said, I still have to monitor this site to make sure no one is out of line with the subject being discussed and that appropriate language is always used.

There seems to be an ever increasing number of “christian blog sites”, that have become more like the “Springer” show. Taking on and encouraging controversial issues, without getting other views.

It is becoming clear, that these aren’t interested in promoting the “Truth”, as much as it is to promoting “Their Truth”.

I want even get into what is the ” Truth “. I am more interested in Who is Truth ! His name is Yahushua, Jesus Christ.

lbolm.wordpress will continue in the fashion and premise that it started from in October of 2007. We want everyone to feel welcome here and to post as often as they feel led to. This is NOT a “bashing place” for those of opposing views. We post our beliefs and don’t try to “force” our beliefs on anyone, nor do I delete post, just because of opposing views.

I recently got a post from someone with some pretty serious accusations. In an E-mail back to this poster, I asked him to furnish evidence of what he was saying or that I would delete his post from my files. As of today, he has failed to furnish the said evidence. If he does, and it checks out, then I will post his post with the evidence he submits.

There is A LOT of talk nowadays about the “supernatural” and “open portals” where people are saying that God is revealing Himself through angels, signs and wonders and the miraculous. I am very much aware of the many different views of whether these things are real or not, and some even claiming them to be possibly demonic in content.

I personally haven’t been able to “see” in that realm yet. I believe that realm exist and that some people can be shown things by God. I believe people can hear from God, not necessarily with an audible voice, but by the Spirit. I have been pondering on these things for a while. Every now and then even getting a little tid bit on this subject.

In 2007 I was attending a conference where one of the speakers was talking about angelic visitations. I didn’t know that,that, was going to be his subject matter that morning and no one had announced it to be. We were in praise and worship earlier that morning and I was standing with my hands lifted in praise to God. My right hand “brushed something” and I moved my hand back thinking I may have hit someone’s hair. I went back into worshipping “in the spirit” and again it happened. I brushed “it” off my hand, whatever “it” was. After the third and forth time of “brushing against something” and feeling this on my arm and hand, I realized that there must have been something in the Spirit realm standing there besides me. I understand now that “it” was possibly an angel and that I had “brushed against it’s wings”. Whoahhh!!

I asked Father God to tell me why it is that some can see in that realm and some can’t. I also asked why it is that sometimes, images are captured on camera, that apparantley no one is seeing in the natural. The reply was this “Cameras don’t need Faith to see, they just see”.

I let it go and really haven’t thought too much on it until lately, the other night I got something in my spirit about looking further into it in the book of Revelations. I think I have an answer for this phenomenon, that I know some will not like and even argue about, BUT, what else is new ? Here goes!!

Rev.1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Notice That John says ” I was in the Spirit” and “heard”. I know for me, personaly, that, it is when I get myself alone with God and listen for Him, He speaks to me “In the Spirit”. I am reminded that in John 4, Jesus teaches us that God is a Spirit and those that worship, must worship in spirit and in truth. The only way to hear from God, except He show up, is in the Spirit, where it is His Spirit speaking to our spirit, for we are made in the image of God, a Spirit, therefore that is our most effective line of communications with Him. Spirit to spirit !!

Rev.4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Here again, John says ” I was in the spirit” and “behold”, which in this instance means to look upon something, to see. For those who desire to “see” in that other realm, you must see it in “the Spirit”. To see in the Spirit isn’t something new nor is it taboo by the Scriptures. Jacob saw in a dream and heard The Lord, so it had to be from the Spirit . Almost ALL of the Prophets in Scripture, “heard in the Spirit” and “Saw in the Spirit”.

THERE is the danger that if you start seeing into the “spirit realm” that you will also see not just the Godly things, but the ungodly as well. As John continued on his “virtual tour” of Heaven, he also saw things that weren’t exactly pleasant to the eye. He saw death and destruction and evil abounding as well as the Beauty and Majesty of God the Father and of The Lord Jesus.  

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Again John was “in the spirit”, but note, “he carried me away”. The Apostle Paul recalls a time fourteen years earlier that he too was “in the spirit”, and was shown things about heaven. John being “carried away” was being “translated” in the Spirit “into the wilderness”, where he was shown things yet to come. “the wilderness” in this text, in my opinoin, is not some symbolic place that John was being shown, but a real place that exist in that Spiritual realm.

Is all this someone’s imagination ? I think not ! If it is then we ALL really have a problem with our Faith.

God is an unseen God. Yet we know that we know, He is real. The Scriptures tell us that one day we will see Him face to face. We will be in constant Worship of the One who was and is and is to come!

Meanwhile, we need to “get in the Spirit” as much as we can, if we have a desire to hear and see the things of God. Remember, God is a Spirit and those that worship Him, MUST worship Him in the Spirit and with the Truth that God is God and desires our worship.

There are many of people who say they have the “Spirit” and even manifest some of the signs, ie, talking in tongues, but they haven’t been able to “see in the Spirit”. I submit, in closing, there is a difference between “being in the spirit” and the “spirit being in you”.
