Be Ready ! Jesus is Coming !

First off, let me set the record straight! This is not a “prophetic word” with dates, times and places.

This is, however, a teaching on the “Parable of the Ten Virgins” and does use some prophetic insight on this parable.

Let’s look at the Words of Jesus, found in Matthew 25;

Matthew 25 : 1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:  4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Some of what I am about to share is things that some of you may know or have heard already, but, listen carefully to what the Spirit is trying to say for us today, right here where we are in this walk we are on.

The Ten Virgins in Matt.25:1-13 are today’s church. All have been given their lamps [The Gospel Light] and all have been given their oil [ The Anointing], but Five are wise in the ways of The Lord and Five are foolish. The wise are ready to go into the “Marriage Supper”[v10] when the “midnight cry”[v6] comes.

The foolish have squandered away their oil [ The Anointing] and are not ready. They have even been trimming their wicks [the Word]and taking their lamps[the Gospel] with them. They are like the one who was given a talent and buried it. They kept it for them-self, in a safe place. They turned inward and concerned about them-self. This is further revealed when the “midnight cry” came and The Bridegroom was ready for the Bride, they however, are not ready! They will cry out to the Lord and they shall be shut out [v10], but He shall answer ” I know you not!” They are the foolish church who have been given the Words of God and they have read them over and over, but there is no “understanding”, for without The Holy Spirit revealing The Word, they have run the risk of being deceived [Matt.24:4,5,24] The Wick [the Word] is soaking in the oil [the Anointing], but, because of improper trimming [understanding, teaching, doctrine, theology], the wick [the Word] has not been burning brightly and still has a “sooty” deposit. A lamp who is burning improperly will burn up it’s oil faster and before you know it, you are out of oil. The Lamp[the Gospel] will not burn long without the oil [ the Anointing]. That is what happened to the Five foolish virgins [the deceived]. Their wick [the Word] became “sooty” due to improper trimming. Their lamp [ the Gospel] became polluted with self indulgence and the things of the world. They were not cutting off all the “old burnt up” wick, they were not getting the fresh wick[the Word] that had been soaking in the oil [ the Anointing] and their light[the Gospel] was not reaching out into the world to point The Way to the Father.

The Five wise virgins have been listening to The Holy Spirit and are wise to the ways of The Lord. Listen to what The Spirit is saying now to you. The Lamp of God [the Gospel] is given to His Church to show the Way to Him. The Lamp of God is filled with Oil [the Anointing] and also has a fresh wick [the Word]. When the priest went into the OT Tabernacle, into the inner court, they had to trim the wick and fill the oil daily. The Wise virgins have been taking their lamps [the Gospel] out into the world, and have been trimming the wick [the Word] and The Holy Spirit has constantly filled their lamps with oil [the Anointing], because they, the Five wise virgins have been answering the “Commission ” God has given them. The wick [ the Word] has been soaking in the Oil [the Anointing] and when the old burnt up wick [ the teachings that we receive as little children, as immature Christians] is trimmed and the new wick is turned up from deep within [the deeper thoughts of God, the more mature Word of God] the lamp, The Lamp burns brighter and has a fresh Anointing in it’s Light.

The “Parable of the Talents”, which is exactly what Jesus spoke on in the very next verses, gives us the perfect example of what happens when we take that which God has given us [the Gospel] and either use it as instructed or squander it on ourselves. Jesus plainly tells us in Matthew 24 and 25 of the “end times” and through His parables, explains to us, all of the things we are doing now, both right and wrong, which is to prepare us to “BE READY”.

My question for you today is this. Are you ready? I didn’t say, are you getting ready? ARE YOU READY???

The Greatest Gift !

Have you been looking for the “perfect” gift for Christmas? God has already given us the Greatest Gift ever, in His Son, Jesus.

What makes the Gift of Jesus the perfect gift to the world is a many faceted thing, but the main thing that I like to thing of is, this Gift from God the Father has “no Strings” attached.

Often times when people give a gift to someone else, there seems to be stings attached. That type of gift is given with expectations from the “giver” of getting something in return. The Gift of Jesus to the world was freely given by the Father and freely delivered by the Son. NO STRINGS attached !!

Once a gift is given to someone, it must be “received”. When Jesus was given to the world, He was despised and rejected by some and He was loved and received by many. The Gift of Jesus is free with no strings attached, but you decide whether to receive The Gift or not.

The Gift must then be opened ! A gift left unopened is never truly received. We must open the Gift of Salvation by truly giving our-self to Him. We do that by choice. We open our-self to Him, and He opens Himself to us.

The gifts from the Magi, brought to the newborn King, were befitting for an earthly king. The Kingdom of God is overloaded with riches untold, with streets of gold and precious stones of all types. Jesus, sits at the right hand of the Father and is still the Greatest Gift that was ever given to mankind.

The Greatest Gift that you can give this Christmas season is you! The Greatest Gift you can give to Jesus is when you give your life to Him. You are more precious than any stone. You are the Greatest Gift that you can ever hope to give Jesus. It doesn’t cost a thing, but will bring you everything you could ever have need of, both now and in the future.

If you have never given yourself to The Lord Jesus, then I encourage you to do that now. He is waiting for you. His “Perfect Gift” of Salvation is ready to be opened. Won’t you do that now? If you wish to give your life to Jesus, will you pray this prayer with me?

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of the Living God, and that you came to earth, dwelt among mankind and that you gave your life on an old rugged cross. Jesus, I believe you took upon yourself all the sins of the world, mine included, for I am a sinner, and that through you Jesus, my sins have been forgiven.  Jesus, I believe that you died on that cross, was buried in a tomb and on the “Third Day” you arose from the dead and that now you are sitting at the right hand of the Father, God of all Creation. I give myself freely to you Jesus, and recognize you as The Lord over my life and in my life. I ask now for your Holy Spirit to come and live inside of me and to teach me and guide me in your Ways.

THANK YOU!!!! Lord Jesus, Thank you!!!!

Holiday Attitudes! Overcoming the world! repost

I have spent probably 60% of my adult life working in the public in retail Management. Christmas was always ” The Make It or Break It ” time of year and pressure was always there to “Make It”. You know, “MONEY”!

People start going through the “Hustle and Bustle” of the Holidays and the next thing you know, “ATTITUDES” come along. Tempers flare. I think you get the picture. For a lot of people, the joy is overshadowed by the commercialization of what should be ” Happy Holidays ” or ” Merry Christmas”

For us who consider Ourselves in the Body of Christ, we find ourselves not always immune from this phenomena of “ATTITUDES”.

So what kind of witness is it that we are walking around in during this time of year.

King James Version(KJV)

Revelations 12: 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

We, who confess Jesus as Lord of our life, have already overcome satan and all that the “world system” can throw at us , by letting Jesus be our Lord. SO, we have a lot to be “Thankful” for during Thanksgiving. As well as, every other day of the year.

My question is concerning your “testimony”. When we are out in the world, especially over the next few weeks, will our testimony be of “good report” or will it get mixed up with the things of the world and become of “bad report”. Will “anger” override “Love” from you during this time of year? Will “worry” override “trust” in the Lord? Will “sadness and loneliness” triumph over “Joy and Gladness” for all of the “Goodness and Grace” from God the Father?

What will be the report of your “testimony” this Christmas and Holiday season? Are you an overcomer of the world or have you been overcome by the world?

If you are a “Born Again” child of God, then your report should be good and you should be joyous in all things!

If you have not given your life to Christ Jesus, then I invite you to do so. Find a “Born Again” child of God and tell them of your desire to quit living under the guilt and condemnation of the world.

Romans 12:1&2 , tells us to “present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice”, which is an ongoing process that may take the rest of your natural life here on earth. It is a process that daily we come face to face with those things we have to ” Deal With”. Those “Issues” that we wish would go away. We have to let God reveal to us, through the Holy Spirit, all of the junk, “The ATTITUDES” we have, the”anger” we have deep in us , whatever it is that comes between us and God, We have to let Him show us and help us sacrifice those things in order to lead a life of an “OVERCOMER”.

We have to not “Be conformed” to the ways of the world. We have to get rid of that old “stinkin’ thinking” and have the “Renewed Mind of Christ”.

This Christmas season, dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, be a blessing to everyone you come in contact with. Share with them the best Christmas present that they could ever get.

Let you ”Testimony” be of the “Good News”!

Lighten Up V!! Forrest Gump goes to Heaven!

Forrest Gump died and went to heaven. When he got to the gate, he was stopped by Peter. Peter told Forrest he had to answer some questions before he could go in.

First Question Forrest. How many seconds are in a year?

Forrest replied, That’s easy, there’s 12 seconds in a year!

What, Peter exclaimed, 12 seconds. How did you get that Forrest?

Forrest said, Well there’s January second, February second, March second,…..

Peter exclaimed OK, I understand Forrest. That’s good !!

Peter said, The next one may be harder now Forrest! What is God’s first name?

Forrest didn’t even bat an eye and said, Andy!!

What, said Peter, now how do you know that as God’s name?

Forrest said “Andy walks with me” “Andy talks with me” “Andy tells me I am His own”

Lighten Up IV

Posted by IWanthetruth on December 13, 2007 12:13

The First Man in the Bible
A Sunday School teacher asked little Willie who the first man in the Bible was.

“Hoss.” said Willie.

“Wrong,” said the teacher. “It was Adam.”

“Aw, shucks!” Willie replied. “I knew it was one of those Cartwrights.”

Lighten Up III !!

A friend of mine was at a church visiting and was asked to go over and pray with a man who was seeking the Holy Spirit. My friend went over and started talking to this guy and the man felt like he would never be Baptized in the Spirit. My friend told him that if he truly wanted it, God would give it to him that day, right there on the spot. The man said “yes, I want it now”. My friend sat down next to him and asked the man to raise his hands, open toward heaven, to receive. As my friend was leading this man in prayer, he said to repeat after me, ” Lord, fill me with your Spirit”, in which the man repeated that. My friend said ” Fill me, Fill me”. He noticed this guy touching his arm , up and down, in which my friend said ” What are you doing?”. The guy said” Well, you said feel me”.

Lighten up, people! Enjoy this wonderfull life God has given us all!
